I bought this dress in Denver at a David's Bridal because I was searching like a mad woman for a gown that had some kind of a sleeve (and not a cap sleeve that everyone was trying to get me to add on in alterations) The second they lady helped me into this dress I was in love, but I had been shopping all day so I had to leave and eat something before making the decision to buy a dress for over a grand. I put it on one last time and didn't want to take it off I was so happy with it. It is a beautiful dress, and the color is very flattering (not sterile white) The sleeve portion of the dress is optional to wear but I decided to have it on the entire time I loved it so much. its a little less than a 3/4 sleeve with the same applique as on the bodice of the dress. I got so many compliments about how unusual it was but it still managed to be a very traditional classic look that complimented the grooms military uniform very well. I did wear the gown during the reception but there was no dancing, the most activity I did in this dress was playing a game of cornhole and the traditional wheelbarrow ride (but there was bedding inside so the dress was not in the actual dirty wheelbarrow) the reception was outside in June in the evening.
